“Fall Bird Poetry Posters: Camille LeFevre and erika roos

pencil sketch of a flying crow

In honor of fall in general and Halloween in particular, I want to share a couple of recent poetry poster collaborations (Click on the links below for downloadable images)

broadside combining poem by Camille LeFevre and artwork of a flying crow by Naomi Cohn. The poem plays with not always knowing what sort of bird we're noticing.

erika and I met at a wonderful Monson Arts residency back in 2023. Poetry is just one of her many interdisciplinary explorations. Learn more about her work here

About the poets:

Camille and I have known each other for decades, we were next door neighbors for many years. She now makes her home in Sedona, AZ. Check out her recent poetry and prose on her website.

To see the whole 2025 flock of posters (as well as older series featuring the work of participants in my Known by Heart poetry workshops), go to poetry posters on my website.

….

Looking ahead: I’ve got some lovely poems by Zoë Bird, Lia Rivamonte, MaryAnn Moenck, and Alice Duggan on my desk, and look forward to winter quiet to incubate and hatch those posters in 2026.

Gratitude to erika and Camille and all the other poets who’ve let me pair their words with my bird sketches. Gratitude also to Broadsided, whose long-running broadside seriesfirst inspired me to think about the possibilities of low-tech poetry posters as a way of putting people’s work out into the world.

…And PS. Do not be alarmed, if this post says it comes from Emily, it’s from me Naomi. Emily is the fabulous Emily Enger, who does my website, and for some reason WordPress in its wisdom has decided she is the author of posts. Please bear with me while I work out this (and other glitches)

Peace

Naomi
